Glam Polish Energizer Bunny

Hey guys :)
I received a Revlon Matte Top Coat for my birthday because I've been wanting one for a while. I love the look of Matte nails and I was so keen to try it.
I have seen people mattify indie polishes and glitters and they look amazing! I decided to try it with Glam Polish Energizer Bunny.

Glam Polish is a really cute pink based polish with pink circle glitter, bigger circle silver glitter and purple and blue micro glitter. I love indie polishes so much, I just can't afford them haha. When there is a sale I'm sure to get some and really love Glam Polish because it's based in Australia and her polishes are gorgeous.
This is one coat over Orly Lollipop with Revlon Matte Top Coat.

I am keen to mattify some other indie polishes because it just makes the glitters stand out, I love it!

Birthday Nails!

Hey! This is quite delayed but I have been quite busy after my birthday trying to fit in everything, I'm kind of glad its all over haha.
Yes, I turned 21 on the 25th! :D I had a great day (even though I was working) but I came home and had a great night. I just can't believe I'm 21, I feel so much older all of a sudden :P
I didn't have time to plan birhday nails which I was quite disappointed about so I decided I would just jazz up my current mani with some glitter and try doing a cupcake!

I quickly took some photos in the car on the way to work. The cupcake did not turn out how I expected but I'm kinda proud of my first attempt. I just used stripers and a doting tool to do the bottom of the frosting. I then did pink polka dots on the frosting but they looked weird haha, so I dotted over them with white in hope they looked like sprinkles!

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazillian & Love.Angel.Music.Baby

Hi again!
I have been quite obsessed with the new OPI Brazil Collection that recently came out. The colours work together so well and they are all my cup of tea haha. I decided I was going to limit myself to buying 3 polishes.. and then since it is my 21st birthday in 2 days, my boyfriend bought me 3 more from the collection haha. I received my package from eBay a couple days ago and couldn't wait to try them :S I also picked up OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby from the new Gwen Stefani Collection.

This is OPI Kiss Me I'm Brazillian. I'm a sucker for a pink, and when I saw swatches I really liked it. Then I received it in the mail and the bottle was a bit darker then I expected, then on the nail even darker! I was quite suprised, I'm not so into this tone (I much prefer baby pink) but it is really pretty and I will definitely be wearing it again. It is quite a bright medium pink. The formula was a little tricky I found, a bit gloopy and I ended up smudging it a couple times (arghhhh!) haha. Topped with Seche Vite.
OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby is a really cool champagne gold that dries to a satin finish. I didn't put top coat on because I didn't want to ruin the finish which is quite different.
This mani is 2 coats of each polish.

I know the next polish from the Brazil Collection I'll be wearing and I am quite excited to show you :D

China Glaze Tart-y for the Party

Hey :D It has been weirdly cold in Adelaide as of recent and this has made me once again put away the neons and crave wearing polishes a bit darker. I have so many untried darker toned polishes :S
This polish however is not dark, buuut it is my favourite purple polish and I reach for it quite a bit haha.

Tarty-y for the Party is a darker pastel lavender colour. I really love this tone of purple. This is 2 thickish coats and is pretty easy to work with.
On my accent nail is China Glaze All Wrapped Up. I have been wanting to try this polish out since I got it a couple months ago. The swatches I saw online looked amazing! I did two coats over 1 coat of the base colour. It's a beautiful very dense indigo micro glitter. Could easily be worn without a base in 3 coats. Gorgeoussss!
I also wanted to jazz the mani up a bit with some nail studs I bought off of the Born Pretty Store for only a couple of $$$.
Topped with OPI Top Coat.

I've also been trying different places to take my photos so I get a decent shot haha. I am going to enquire about the Nikon P520 camera this weekend, and hopefully find a good deal!
Thanks for visiting :)

Cookies & Cream Jelly Sandwich

Hey everyone :D
I saw Chalkboard Nails do this mani a while ago (here is her awesome post!) and have always wanted to try it. I have only done jelly sandwiches a couple of times and am not a huge fan. But... this mani looked so yummy :D I love how it looks just like cookies and cream on your nails. So creamy.. makes me hungry :P

I basically followed Chalkboard Nails method keeping in mind that she said using two coats of base made this get very thick.
-I started with OPI Skull & Glossbones, a very light grey, as a base doing only one coat and that covered quite well.
- I then added a coat of Ulta3 Stop the Press. I picked this up for $2 at the chemist because I have been wanting a black and white glitter in a clear base  for so long. I had to use it that very day haha.
-Next was a thin coat of Essie Marshmallow, a sheer white to lightly cover and tone down the glitter.
- I added another coat of Stop the Press, and to top it off, a good coat of Seche Vite.

My one peeve about this mani was how long Stop the Press took to dry (arghhh). I had to wait atleast 10-15 minutes before it no longer felt sticky on the nails, hence how many smear marks you see. Trust me, it was worse before I touched it all up haha. And because I had to layer more, it got quite thick but nothing terrible.

I hope I got just a little close to how Chalkboard Nails mani was, hers was great! I'm really keen to try this black and white glitter over other colours, just wish it took less time to dry D:

OPI Peace & Love & OPI

Hiii! Been a bit M.I.A for a little while, I have a very annoying cold that does not want to leave. I also did Valentines Day nails and that didn't turn out how I wanted so I decided not to put them on the blog haha.
How was everyone's Valentines Days? Mine was nice, went and saw Alex Williamson Live, who's a very funny Australian comedian on YouTube.
Let me start by saying I could not properly catch the colour of this polish in any photos! I take my photos using my phone and have wanted a nice camera for a while and thought since I am turning 21 next week, I might buy myself a present (what a good excuse)! I'm looking at a Nikon P520, if anyone knows anything about this camera please message me because I really don't know much about cameras :S
On to the polish....

This is Peace & Love & OPI from the 2013 San Francisco Fall (or Autumn as we say in Australia) Collection.
What a beautiful colour! Very different from what I usually wear actually, I'm not one for darker tones but I'm trying to venture out of my polish comfort zone haha! This is an awesome duochrome that changes from teal to a purple and maybe a little pink? I'm not a very huge duochrome person but I love this!
Formula I had a bit of an issue with, wasn't too streaky but it was a bit thick and took a while to dry. Otherwise, it was fineeee :D

Hope this last photo shows the true colour! Thanks for visiting!

China Glaze Neon & On & On

Hi everyone. I am wearing my first real official neon polish of the summer and isn't it amazing! I literally cannot stop staring at these, they are super bright and gorgeous. Colours like this is why I love China Glaze, and even though the Summer 2013 Sunsational Collection got so much hate, I just couldn't ignore the neons!

Now onto the polish :D (p.s. this post is a little pic heavy)

Lighting was perfect when I took these photos and this polish is amazing so I had to take lots of pictures (sorry). This is three coats of Neon & On & On. Now the bad part. The formula. I had soo much dragging and patchiness it wasn't funny. The first coat was a mess, so I wanted to neaten with the second and add a thicker layer. That did not even it out and seemed to make more patches. I then tried for a third very careful coat and managed to get rid of most imperfections. I guess being a neon it dries very fast before you even finish the current coat you're applying, thus taking it off with it. Wahhh why does such an amazing neon have such issues!
I think we need to talk about this colour too... OMG. Pure pink/ ltiny bit peachy neon. I love this sort of shade so much, reminds me a bit of Essie Van d' Go but the neon version. It's not completely pink but has that peach sorta tone added in which you can't really tell from pictures. I don't know.. it might just be me hahah.
Coated with Seche Vite.

I'm not sure how long I will wear this, I might use it as a base for my Valentines day mani. Depends how well it wears. So whats everyone's plans for Valentines day? I'm going to see a stand up comedian from Youtube with my boyfriend and I can't wait ;)

OPI My Very First Knockwurst

Hello hello! Work is having another crackdown on wearing polish so I'm going to get back on the nudes bandwagon and start wearing them again. I was so enjoying colours :( especially when I think that summer is going to be over kinda soon and I haven't worn a single neon! There's always the weekend I guess..
Apart from that sad story, I have a very pretty nude that I have worn before but never did a post about, so I thought I would try it again. This is OPI My Very First Knockwurst from the Germany Collection 2012.

I loveeee a good nude! This leans much more pink, I guess you could say a very pale rose creme because it has a very dusty look to it too. My Very First Knockwurst is seriously gorgeous what can I say. Went on perfectly in two coats, I had no issues. The accent is Essie A Cut Above, which is a really pretty pink glitter in a clear base (I also love an accent nail haha). All topped with Seche Vite.

Now I need to start planning for my Valentines day mani! :)

China Glaze High Hopes

Hi everyone. I have been wanting to go through my untried polishes for a while now so I can see what polishes I might want to get rid of.. to make room for more ofcourse ;) I have been looking at this colour for a while, and because reds are not my colour I have put it off. The question being, why did I buy it in the first place? I thought China Glaze High Hopes was a darker orange, but after wearing it, it is definitely darker then I expected. Opinions please :D

High Hopes is much more a red-orange then I expected. And even though I do not like wearing reds, this colour is actually very beautiful. It's very bright too and doesn't look terrible with my skin tone YAY! I had a couple compliments today on this polish, and people could not describe the colour because in some darker lights, it looks as if it leans a bit pink?
This was a dream to apply, 2 thick coats and dry time was quite fast. And I didn't smudge it either hooray :D Coated with Seche Vite.
I might just keep this polish :S

I am falling back in love with my China Glaze's after a hiatus of using other brands. I am also getting very excited for their City Flourish Spring Collection, which has some great colours right up my alley. Now I have my eye on a gorgeous green on my shelf that I will be swatching tomorrow for sure!

China Glaze Unrefined

Happy Saturday :D I see that the China Glaze Sea Goddess collection has appeared on eBay so i'm pretty excited about it. Sadly, I have never ever seen a China Glaze sold here in Australia except a nail polish supply store that only had really old ones :( As some may know, I love a textured polish (too much!). Before I go ahead and order some of those polishes, I wanted to try a China Glaze texture I've had for a while but never tried to see how that formula was and what I could expect. This is China Glaze Unrefined from the Texture collection 2013.

Before I purchased this, the swatches I saw were a much lighter pink. This turned out quite a lot darker then I expected, more of a medium bright pink.
The formula was hard to work with, and I always make the mistake of trying not to use too much polish on the brush so as not to extend drying time more and smudging easier haha. This however needed quite a bit of polish as it was very patchy on the first coat. I then tried to use more on the second and that seemed to cover most mistakes, but also make sure you wait for the first coat to dry because this dragged.
I don't mind the finish at the end, I know it's been referred to as 'popcorn ceiling' but sometimes it's a nice change to have a simple texture not packed with glitters etc.

I like this polish and the colour. I'm hoping i'll be better next time with applying because I also have Itty, Bitty, Gritty from the collection too that I am excited to try. Now I just need to decide what polishes from the Sea Goddess collection i'm going to 'need desperately' haha

China Glaze Happy Go Lucky

Hellooo :) quick post today everyone! Can I just say how excited I was for the O.P.I Brazil collection to come out! I was waiting to go on eBay today when I got home so I could see if anyone was selling them yet and they were! I have 3 of the polishes sitting in my cart as we speak haha, and one from the Gwen Stefani collection that I am contemplating. Can't spare too much money right now so I wont buy as many as I wanted.. yet. Got a bit sidetracked.. by the way this is China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, a bright yellow creme with an accent nail of Maybelline Gold's Night Out.

Not an easy formula to work with sadly, very streaky but what I have found with China Glaze is you need to use a lot of polish on the nail otherwise the polish drags. I wasn't so careful this time because I was in a hurry so my nails look dreadful (sorry!) Thanks for stopping by :)

Leopard Print!

Hey! Let me just say I was inspired to do this mani by a photo I saw on Instagram and I have completely forgotten who's picture it was (sorry!). I loved how the leopard print worked so well with the colours and glitter accent.

For the leopard print I used China Glaze Aquadelic,Sweet Hook and Liquid Leather for the black. On the pinky I did a couple coats of Sweet Hook before I decided I wanted to try out Glistening Snow haha, so I added two coats of that over the top. I also received a package from Born Pretty Store which sells really cool nail decals. I ordered some studs a while ago and had to try them out straight away.
I did a coat of Seche Vite over the painted nail then while it was drying I added the stud. After an hour one fell off :( so then I put a spot of top coat on and stuck the stud on that way.

Hope you liked this mani, it was nice to do something a bit different and I always love doing a leopard print :)
